The Volkswagen Golf Mk5 is one of the most iconic hot hatches, which has proved to be a popular choice for enthusiasts due to its price making it accessible for a range of people. Despite Volkswagen stopping production of the Mk5 in 2009, the Golf has continued to be a mainstay in the car community, especially the GTI and R32 models.
We have a huge range of modifications for the Golf Mk5 GTI, including everything from exhaust systems to strut braces. The most popular choice however is our exhaust decat downpipe, which removes the standard restrictive catalytic converter and replaces it with a free-flowing pipe to help you release more power from the 2-litre engine.
Although the GTI and R32 have become the most popular of the range to modify, that hasn’t stopped people getting the most out of the other engines, probably most notably the 2.0 TDI. With its reliable engine, the 2.0 TDI has become surprisingly popular, and you won’t be short of modifications for it. Again, our most popular and one of the most effective modifications for this model is our Exhaust Decat Downpipe, which increases gas flow through the exhaust, improving power and torque across the RPM range as well as noticeably improving throttle response.
Both of our Golf Mk5 Exhaust Decat Downpipes can be found here along with other popular modifications:
